Our story

There must be a better way...

The Byrne Law story is unapologetically unconventional.  Principal lawyer, Sarah Byrne, was admitted to legal practice in 2003 and commenced her own legal practice in 2005 after becoming exasperated and disillusioned with working for conventional, big city legal firms, who expected long, often unpaid staff hours, charged ridged, over-priced hourly fees, while offering zero flexibility for clients. It was within this culture Sarah knew there had to be another, better way to achieve positive client outcomes.

Introducing Byrne Law

Doing law differently

The birth of Byrne Law was Sarah’s vision of a better, effective and more client-centric practice of law, but most importantly a happier and easier client experience by offering flexible hours, fixed price legal fees while gaining a mutual trust through shared life experiences and lifestyles. In other words, Sarah doesn’t just talk the talk she walks the walk with her clients as well.

Having experienced the challenges of growing up in an adoption home environment, and losing her older brother to cancer, Sarah has developed a powerful empathy and understanding of people and their tribulations, particularly when working with clients experiencing the death of a love one or similar challenging life events.

It is for these reasons Sarah has taken Byrne Law, unapologetically in a direction outside the norms of conventional legal practice.

Working in wills, estates and probate law is a privilege particularly given that for many clients just thinking about what they should include in their will or power of attorney documents is incredibly challenging and for some even a little scary. Enter the Probate or Letters of Administration process with all its complexities and legal jargon and the understanding of the law rises to yet another complicated level.

Simplifying the complex empowers clients with the knowledge they require to better understand what they require from a legal service, whether it’s a will, family trusts, farming law or property law matter Sarah works along side each and every client to achieve the best outcomes.

Byrne Law also assists with conveynancing and matters relating to commercial law and family law.
